This is an exciting time for us. Building a business is its own special form of creative process. Leigh and I were talking this morning about where and how to market ourselves. I think we realize that we're making decisions now that will define us to our market for years to come. It's a neat thing really. Writing a business plan is like writing a story. This is what I want my life to be like...

Remodeling, carpentry and construction as a licensed, bonded contractor in Seattle specializing in green building, indoor air quality, sustainable sourcing of materials and space utilization. It's a mouthful.

Signed up last night for training for the EPA mandated Lead Paint RRP Certification. It's one 10 hour day of cramming. I assume they'll tell us who to see to actually take the test. At least we get lunch.

It'll be good information, especially since I love the older homes in Seattle and its neighborhoods- Greenwood, Ballard, Magnolia, Queen Anne, Leschi, Freemont, Wallingford, Blue Ridge, Mount Baker, Columbia City, Georgetown, West Seattle, South Park, Lake Union, View Ridge- they're all great!
