Been taking time lately to work on all the things necessary to running a business. There's so much to consider. I'm going to need to get and set up accounting software soon. I'm working on getting all the insurance and bond squared away, I have an idea for a logo. Progress.
Working at the home show has been a great experience so far. It's great to have the opportunity to talk to so many people about their remodeling ideas. It's also interesting to gauge the mood of the people, both the vendors and the people attending. I'd say most are neutral to cautiously optimistic about the coming year. I'm definitely optimistic about it. I don't really mean to pretend that I understand international markets. I subscribe to the idea of there being a certain inevitability to recovery. I mean, barring some unforeseen and titanic set of natural disasters, mankind's natural desire for more stuff will override its fear of losing the stuff it's already got. Then they start swapping their stuff around and sooner or later, they're remodeling. Just like day follows night.
