The end of May turned out to be a really busy and productive time for us here at LScarpentry. So busy, that I've yet to find time to even upload pictures of what we've been working on. I'll need to schedule some time for computer chores soon, as I'm really excited to share photos of these projects.
Right in the Middle of May, I took the course to become an EPA Lead Paint RRP (repair, renovation, painting) certified contractor. An interesting and demanding new set of rules that have passed into law this spring (April 22nd) that requires anyone working on any home built before 1978 to be certified and follow strict guidelines to assure that the property and surrounding properties are not contaminated by lead in any form. It's something that every homeowner should be aware of if there's any possibility you may want to live in a pre-1979 home.
The very next day, we started on a very demanding garden window replacement. The job turned out very nice and I think I got some pretty good pictures. I wish I had taken some before photos, as the difference was pretty great.
I'm also currently between the 1st and second phase of the houseboat NANA wall project. The owners are very pleased with the progress so far and are planning to use us for the rest of the projects the have planned. I have progress shots of the work so far and will post them on the Projects page later this week.
Heading out this morning to work on the doors for our Home Office project. Can't wait to complete this one and move on to putting the island cabinets together.
