The cabinet and bookcase in the Home Office are nearly complete. Last week I refinished the doors for the cabinet and installed them on Friday. Today, I hope to install the last pieces on the bookcase. At that point, I have only a few small sheetrock repairs to complete, some touch up painting to do, and this room is complete. We're really proud of our design for this room. Lots of great space saving ideas, and plenty of flexibility allowing the space to serve in many ways. Home office, library, music studio. A warm, inviting, cozy, creative space with room for two.
As soon as we are able to get that done we can revisit the kitchen. It's always been part of the plan to replace our rolling tool cart with a permanent island. This project has been waiting to be gotten to for quite some time. The good side of this delay is that in the meantime, Leigh was able to locate the exact cabinets to build the configuration that we wanted that are a perfect match for our existing cabinets. There will be some modifications necessary, but as I had planned to build these from scratch...
