Yesterday brought the cabinet build for the houseboat project to a close. I will go back on Monday to install their knobs and drawer pulls. To see the cabs in all their glory click here, or go to the Projects pages and click on the Houseboat Cabinets link at the top.
Meanwhile,. we're still working out design details on the Murphy bed. The homeowner hopes to be able to visually break up the surface of the bed in its closed position to look more like a grouping of smaller cabinets than one large unit. Here's one idea.
The homeowners felt that this was a good start, but wanted to do something less symmetrical, and to try to break up the top space as well (the top, full width shelf does not move when the bed is folded down). We're back at the drawing board and will post all the design drawings for this on the Designs page soon.
